Default new member and lots of questions

Its been years but was on another forum, cant even find it now....
Ive had several Club cars and one EZGO,currently down to 2 DS models
one is a resistor cart thats my beater the other is my new project, which brings me here.
The newer DS(if that even pertains),is around a 92 I believe,36 v.
I want to convert this to 48v and keep the 36v motor for now.
As time and budget permits I will up grade the motor, controller etc.
I have some 10x22 tires and chrome rims,so will need a front lift kit.
I think the axle blocks I made are 2 inch, and added some longer shocks as well.
I have a Jeep front end that I will install and am making a bed in the rear so this will look like a jeepster pickup .
I picked up some used 8v batteries and a 48v Club car lester charger, and first project is to wire it up to keep the batteries charged. I need to do this without an OBC as the 36v one doesnt use this.
I have a VOM so can monitor the charge and not cook the batteries.
So the questions begin.

What are the cable lengths for a complete system,I have 4AWG wire, terminals and a proper crimper, heat shrink etc.
I want to make cables now to use on the cart later, but also use them to keep batteries charged.
I have mounted the controller above the motor,in the middle of cart.

Whats a good 4-6 inch lift kit? I have heard bad things about Jakes and all Sports breaking, and have some pretty rough terrain on my property.

How do I hotwire the lester charger to run without an OBC,so that I can manually charge the batteries?Again I dont have the cart here, but need to keep the batteries charged.
thanks in advance

I'm more of a gas guy, and certainly no electrical expert but this all sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.

I would recommend getting with scottyb or Tahoe and get the correct parts and charger to suit your needs. Do it right the first time and be done. Otherwise I see either frustration that's unnecessary or famahe/busted stuff. Also unnecessary in your future.

Rhox makes what is in my opinion the sturdiest double A Arm lift kit. Not to knock Jake’s or others. But the Rhox set up is beefier.
As for your other questions, 36 to 48 conversion is rarely a half way in proposition without expecting a problem.

I might add that I did the 36v to 48v on my resistor cart for years
I had a 48v loaded DS that needed the 8v batteries so I sold them
with that and went back to 36v. All of this was done without any mishap.

I have a solid state 48v charger but it blew a cap a few years ago
just thinking I could use the Lester for topping off these batteries until I get that working again.

Hole to hole make 3/14s and 2/16s. That'll work with whatever you run.
