Default What’s wrong with this Jake’s lift kit?

Hi everyone – I have a 3- bolt TXT here that somebody put what looks like a 6 inch Jake’s spindle lift.

Problem is, the steering tire rods rub the front leaf springs so hard that steering is almost impossible. I didn’t install this lift, but it doesn’t seem right. Any ideas what I should change before I start tearing it all apart?

First picture is obviously from the front, second picture is from underneath looking forward. Thanks.

Could be the wrong front leaf springs.

You want:

Heavy Duty front leaf spring that fit 1994-2000 EZGO golf carts. Part NO: 70311G01, 70422G01, 70431G01, 75366G01

Those could be the 2004+ ones for the 4 bolt steering system. They have a different curve. I have a 3 bolt cart but, not close to me. It has a spindle kit on it. Will take photos of it when I get my hands on it this weekend. :(

Sounds possible. Thanks! BTW the cart leans forward like crazy. Looks terrible.

Agree there are several different front springs with different curves on them.
Also is it possible tie rods ends are mounted upside down? If you unbolt and reverse may have needed clearance.
As for forward tilt has any mods been down to rear springs, shackles, ect. ?
PS I have no knowledge of front end lifts, just looking at steering geometry😊

The springs should of been moved to the top of the axle

Looking at the pics he posted and since the springs are already hitting the tie rods, the only way he can do that is to maybe put the tie rods under the springs. Not sure it's supposed to be like that. Here is mine, but it's not a spindle lift.

I don’t have room to put the tie rods under the springs... I don’t think.

I think the springs only get moved to the top of the axle on a drop axle lift kit, not a spindle lift kit, but I'm not 100% sure.
