Default stereo installed, but

Got my Plum Quik Bandit installed yesterday, yes my cart is mobile again. Still dont know what went wrong with other motor. Wouldnt go so I sent for an upgrade, Plum Quik, great. Some members said that I over-revved the old motor, but Rick at Plum Quik bench tested it and said it was OK.But good excuse for an upgrade. Stereo installed today. Speakers went under the front seat facing the dash. My question is I will have to be very careful cleaning off my batteries so I dont get crud on the back of the speakers. Any other members have experience here. Holes already cut. leaping buddha, thanks PS Do I have to be careful not to over-rev this motor going down-hill or is this motor superior.

get a set of Marine grade speakers and you should be fine with washing... either that or fab up a couple of "shields" for the top portion to keep the water at bay.......

Crutchfield.com used to have a set of foam baffles for doing door installations. My suggestion would be to give their site a check and see if they're still available.

Hope this helps,

I have a set of pyle marine speakers mounted in the same spot and I rinse my batteries off regularly and as a result, the speakers get wet. I have not had a problem with the sound of the speakers.

These also help with the low tones.
