The cart is a Series version. To go faster you do one or all, depending on your budget:

Increase tire diameter
High speed gears
High RPM motor
Increase voltage

That totally blows. Well at least I'm learning and got the majority correct.

what does series version mean? what size tires are stock? what size is the largest you can go to at stock height? high speed gears, can u clarify? as far as upping voltage, can you just add 12 volts? like, get 4, 12 volt batteries instead of the 6x6 setup?

Or go with 6 8volt batteries.

1. It refers to the motor type. Your cart has a series type motor, so it is referred to as a Series cart.
In a Series motor the Armature and Stator windings are connected in series. The same current flows through both.
The other type motor used is called Shunt (Parallel) or Sepex (Separately Excited) Different current flows through the moving and stationary windings.
(Making things more confusing, there are different sub-types of both type carts)

2. 18" diameter (approximately)

3. 20" diameter (approximately)

4. Gear ratio in differential. Stock = 12.77:1 Next faster is 8.xx:1 Higher speed, but lower torque. Also requires motor and controller upgrades.

5. Have to be batteries designed for golf cart use, but you can use 4-12v batteries or 6-8v batteries or 8-6v batteries to obtain a 48v battery pack.
The 8x6v will give you the longest run-time, the 4x12 the shortest. (The bigger each cell is physically, the greater the stored chemical energy/capacity)

Except for the slightly technical details in 1 & 5, I just regurgitated what I've gleaned during my brief tenure at BGW.
