Uphill speed
I know my batteries are old (6yr old 12v) but with a stock cart do they lack uphill speed normally? Mine goes up a good incline but lacks the oomph and just wonder even with new batteries is the stock motor lacking torq? This is around a 40 degree incline.

Re: Uphill speed
Normal hill accents doesn't slow the cart down much but the steeper ones do. I assume new batteries will help a little but a motor upgrade would be the answer, correct?

Search the threads on this topic. There are a few routes you can go based on your budget and preferences.
If money was not an issue, I would go with a bigger controller, HP solenoid, bigger wires and see if that does it for you. If that doesn't do it for ya, then add a motor suited for your needs (torque/speed). If you do everything at once (like I wish I could), you will be all set Yeah, new batts will help with torque. The crappier your old batts are, the more torque you will feel with new ones |

A 40 degree incline?
That's almost like this / (ok not quite) Holy crap that's a heck of a performance on old batteries...and new Btw I do not believe the stock motor is lacking torque UNLESS something is wrong with it. With ample power provided to the stock motor it will give plenty of power. Just in my experience anyhow. |
