Below is a link to reducer I purchased/installed . . note yellow wire, the trigger/control wire . . this simplifies installation . . the yellow wire is connected to the "cold" side of keyswitch so when key is turned on, power is supplied to trigger wire which in turn tells reducer to "power up" . . when keyswitch is turned off, trigger wire tells reducer to "power off" . . .

The 12v output (green wire) was routed to a fuse block for my accessores, providing separate fuses for each one . . .

It may be easier for you to not attempt to wire it to your keyswitch, but to add a different switch inline with one of the two wires that are connected to your pack . . . maybe a lighted rocker switch on the dash . . . the only pitfall is remembering to turn it off when not needed . . .

If the one side is goes to the POS side of the Batteries then to the key switch it is switching POS

Hey gator got the reducer wired like the diagram you showed me lights still come on even when the key switch is off any clues off. I wired the reducer on the load side of the switch which has power when turned off. I tested both wires with switch on and off red wire blue wire. Blue wire with switch off had no power red did, turn on the switch both had power??????

The red wire(+36volt)from the reducer should hook where your blue wire does so that with the switch off there is no power to the reducer
