Running batteries low
I have 5 year old 48v Trojans and my question is, does it hurt to run them down to where the cart slow down to a crawl? It seems that lately its not holding it's 30 min charge time.

Re: Running batteries low
Check and make sure water covers over the plates. Then you need to let it charge until the charger shuts off! This may be up to 16hrs!
And yes, it is very detrimental to run them that low! |

Re: Running batteries low
Especially old batteries...... seems like old batteries can plug along Okay, then something happens and the lights get left on or the kids run it until it stops, the charger breaks down and they sit???
Anyway something like that can be a death sentence to an older set of batteries. charge them often. Daily if that's how you use it. |
