Cool Bad Motor??

Could someone tell me the best way to check if the motor is bad on a 95 club car. All the solenoids are kicking in, and I don't really think it's the motor, maybe a bad wire somewhere, but I would like to know if the motor is shot.
Thanks.

Got cart running, motor good, but when I run it or put it on charge, #1 battery wire gets hot. All the others are cool. Any suggestions?

Why did the year of your cart change from 84 to 95 from post #1 to post #2?

Remove the wire. Clean the connections. Use a quality ohm meter to determine resistance. Should be less than 1 ohm, and preferably around 0.1 ohm. If it has too much resistance, you might be able to clip the wire and re-solder a new end, as that is likely where the problem is. Alternatively, purchase a new wire/set of wires. Clean and check all other connections as preventative maintenance.

Reinstall using dielectric grease (available at most auto parts stores as spark plug grease).

Thanks, that's what I thought, but just wanted confirmation that that could cause the problem.

no get the mounts done.....depending on how much it rocks back and forth and can and will cause damage to driveshaft, possible exhause fuel lines......theres a whole list of things.....if your keeping it for 2 years replace them................................

You could run a continuity test on the wires with a meter. Beep is good, no beep is bad.
