Default Chargers

Hey Guys

I have two powerwise chargers that are giving me trouble, one clicks on and then the little black box starts smoking (see picture) and then kicks out. The other one kicks on then after 5 seconds kicks out and throws the breaker. I swamped the little black box to the smoking charger and then it went on for 5 secs and then kicked the breaker (that's the breaker on the charger, not my shop breaker)

Would I be safe to assume that the little black box is the problem, if so should I just source those directly from club car.

Also have any of you tried the schauer charger on a 2007 or 2009 CC precedent before with any luck, what's the verdict on these chargers.

Thanks for the input!

The little black box your reffering to is called a rectifier and can def cause that problem...most of the time they go bad due to overheating. You can get them from a Club Car dealer or aftermarket through any dealer that deals with Nivel parts.

Well that's handy as we are a dealer for Nivel and an independent for Club Car. We just haven't had to deal with these yet.

Thanks!
