Default would this be better

I found a 400 amp altarx new for $277 .00 . Would this give me the same or better performance than the resistours i have have now ? 1980 cc . I know i need a few other things to make it work any and all input iwould be great.

It's leaps and bounds better. You'll need a potentiometer of some sort to make it work. Contact Scottyb on this forum. He specializes in conversion type stuff like that.

Same speed,power? The cart has a four inch lift and and 22 in tires , high power motor . I know a bigger amp would be better but will a 400 work No hills to speak of .

it would increase the torque ten fold and stops alot of heat issues, its a world of difference, 400 amp is fine for none hilly conditions its usually the best economic choice...Scottyb will have the best combo options for you though as stated..

If the controller is a series control with the right throttle program and you have a potentiometer and throttle conversion and diagrams you can make it work. 400amps with 22s will act like a healthy stock cart on 36v. Hope this helps
Honestly $277 is too cheap, it may be a standard NPX which is NOT recommended by Alltrax for big tires or rear seat carts.

That's what i needed to know . I nneed every thing .that looked like good deal but will its not for me. Scott's what would you recommend ?
