48v to 36v motor wont run
Hi, i have a 1998 club car ds with a series motor. i had a 48v motor in it but the back bearing broke 3 three times and is very slow so i got a new motor, a 36 volt to increase speed. the new motor i got is older (dont know the year) i connected the wires to the same places as the 48 volt but it wont run. do i have to do it differently?

Did you hook it uyp based on terminal location or could you identify the terminal designator such as A1 A2 S1 and S2. The terminals would not necessarily be in the same location as your previous motor.
Do you know if that motor was even working when you bought it? |

Re: 48v to 36v motor wont run
My D&D motor cost me $430 shipped and went from 13mph to 26+mph. I think that is pretty cheap for the performance gain. And that's on the stock controller

Re: 48v to 36v motor wont run
Lightly clean right around the terminal studs. There should be the A1-A2-S1-S2 characters stamped into the housing. It may be able to be brought up by pencil tracing or chalk! I see its fairly rusty.
