Scotty, You show AH numbers in a parallel battery system. When you series a battery the AH rating stays the same. Still you are absolutely right the AH is what gives extra run time. I quote from you: A good 6v battery will have 220 amp hours (ah) a good 8v battery 190 ah a good 12v battery 150 ah When we series these batteries (48v) we get the following average AH ratings (depends on battery manufacture actual ratings): 8/6v = 220 ah 6/8v = 190 ah 4/12v = 150 ah As mentioned earlier, larger cells, not the number of cells is the main benefit of swapping from 4/12 to 8/6. If you had room for 8/12 you could end up with a 300 Ah pack when wired in a series/parallel configuration and have extreme run time. |

Re: power difference between 8 and 12 volt
Oh yes, my bad series vs parallel!?
You still have the difference of 220ah vs 180ah or 150ah. Thanks |

But without a conversion I doubt you will fit 8 volts in your cart. But once converted you could do either T875 or T890. OH yea, AND GO GIANTS! |
