The serial number you listed is a remanufactured serial number. The original prefix would have been AQ. It sounds as if it's on speed setting 4 to me. The madness never stops.

Thanks David, is there a way to find out when it was remanufactured? What is the difference between a silver and gold remanufacture?

Sorry I'm not much help here. We don't deal with Reman cars from Club Car at our establishment. We rebuild them all ourselves. I can however confirm that it's a silver standard based on my serial number chart. Not sure what the difference is.

So this a reman from Club Car? I did take the dash off today and saw the serial sticker behind it, It did say AQ0232-XXXXX. Thanks for your help David. One other question. The lights weren't working. Reason for taking dash off. In the process, I noticed the light switch was hooked up between 2 batteries. Not an unusual find. But when I took out the headlights to check the bulb wiring , I noticed a tag that said "CC series (something)" then ran the wiring and all lights are hooked in series to 16v. (Tail light burnt out reason for no lights). Is this common? to hook lights in series? Not something I would do. The tag saying it was a CC series system really thru me!

Yes it's a Club Car rebuild..... Dealers can't re-label a serial number. Club Car can. As for the lights. I've never seen Club Car wire lights in a series, not have I ever seen them hook them up to 16 volts. They should be parallel, and hooked to 12 Volts.

I believe mine are run off of 16 volts with the reduser on the ground taking it to 12 volts

Yes, it is probably a 16-12 reduced
Ideally, you want a 48-12 to balance the pack
If you don't use lights much, I don't think it matters as much

Nope not reduced!! Went thru it today. Headlights are in series running 16v. Tail lights are in series running 16v. Now that is just plain dumb!! You might as well just run a 12v light thru 8v...same difference!! Headlights and tail lights were in parallel but front and rear in series. I rewired them properly. One tail light was burnt out and had to replace, Then found out a headlight was out. BOTH on the drivers side. Headlight wasn't burnt out so to speak. wire on one side of connection was either broken or shorted and burnt. Now to get a 48 to 12 reducer to finish it properly. Then to add the turn signals and brake lights.
