Installed the 2 gauge cables today and wow im not sure how much of a difference i should have seen
But it really picked the cart up! Once again plans have changed i removed my 1 week old jakes lift and my wheels They are in the for sale section if anyone is interested? |

And no lift and i will ordering a alltrax 4865 this week |

A stock controller (275A) with a stock battery pack (36V) will allow the motor to draw 10.5kW of electrical energy while a 650A controller with a 48V battery pack will allow the motor to draw 33.1kW.
With 23" tires, about 12.8kW is needed to maintain stock acceleration and hill climbing performance. That would require 335A with a 36V pack or 251A with a 48V pack. With 20" tires, only about 11.9kW is needed to maintain stock acceleration and hill climbing performance. That would only require 310A with a 36V pack or 233A with a 48V pack. On 20" tires, a 650A controller powered by a 48V pack will generate about 300% of stock acceleration and hill climbing performance, so the question becomes: How much of that power can actually be applied to the ground? At some point the rear tire will spin, or front tires will be lifted off the ground, or something in the mechanical drive train will fail. Then you have to toss in questions like: What is the cart going to be used for? (Formula-One cars don't do well on golf courses or city streets- unless the streets are closed to other traffic ) Are the wife and kids going to drive the cart? That is one of the nice things about a programmable controller, such as the Alltarx 4865, if it is a bit much, it can be dialed back to just right. I'm not saying do it or don't do it. Just providing food for thought. |

Well the controller i have now npx 400 amp is not rated for a aftermarket motor
So thats why im wanting to upgrade I mainly use the cart to run around the camp. Alot of the time its hauling 4 people It runs really good right now i can hit the gas from a dead stop in my yard and do circles I really like have the down low power thats why i was thinking the 650 What do you guys think? |
