Not yet between farming and the honey do list but I did talk to Scotty b the other day. I just need to locate some 8volt batteries for a good price before I pull the trigger.

Besides 2 awg batt cables my cart is ready for the 48 v.

If you hear of better deals be sure you are comparing apple to apples.

190 amp hours is what you want!

i "converted" my marathon to 48v by swapping to 8v batts, adding a fuse to the pack to prevent fire, nothing else. it worked great, for about a month, then the controller got so weak it couldnt even go up a mild hill. i knew what i was risking, a controller i didnt care at all about. i had a used alltrax ready to go... Really, tho, dont do it this way!!! The 3 main things you should change are, charger, motor controller, relay. the stock motor can usually handle 48v unless you are using it for some extreme work. but, since you will be dropping some $$$ anyway, might as well get a true performance motor designed for 48v and not worry about over-volting the stock motor.

PS- almost forgot, make sure your cables are big enough and in good shape.
