Default Bald Front Tires

I have a 2001 TXT Ezgo with 23x10.5x12 size tires. The tires that came on the cart are the Turf Tire that belong on lawn mowers. The front tires are wearing out very fast (1 year). It is wearing in the middle. I have checked the pressure and even lowered it to see if they were over inflated. Still having the same problem.

My question is the problem the type of tire that I am using or is it out of alignment ?

Many thanks in advance.....

I picked up some used tires on craigs list, been running them on pavement for 2 years and do not see any wear on them

All vehicles that operate on golf courses and other grassy areas where ruts and other tire related damages are not acceptable, should be equipped with "Turf Tires".
A lawn mower is but one of such vehicles, and a golf cart is another such vehicle.

Tread wearing out in center is a classic sign of over-inflation.
Tread wearing out on both sides is a classic sign of under-inflation.
Tread wearing out on just on side and perhaps only one tire on the axle, is a sign of misalignment.

Since a 23" x 10.5" tire is significantly over-sized for a golf cart, the probability is high that they are over-inflated if they are inflated to anywhere near the max inflation pressure stamped on the sidewall.

To check for proper inflation, draw a chalk line across the tread, drive for several tire rotations and look for even wear of the chalk line from side to side.
Or, drive across a wet towel and look at the damp foot prints left.

With either method, adjust air pressure for best side to side evenness.

Probably, yes. Mine wore extremely fast when out of alignment.

Thank you so much !!!! I drive the cart everyday and us it for fun and common use because I live in a small beach town that has easy access to stores

I was thinking of purchasing the EFX Fusion ST tire which is DOT rated and is 4 ply which I'm hoping will have a better ride after I get the alignment right.

Has anyone heard of any reviews about this tire ?

I'm looking for a smoother/quieter ride
