New f&r switch, no reverse
I was given a different switch than the one on the car. Took the incorrect one back and got correct switch. Somehow in putting the correct one in, I reversed a wire or something. I have forward on both lever positions but no reverse. I downloaded a wiring diagram but haven't had a chance to tryu to trace the wires. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance. By the way, both lever positions are 36 volt.

Re: New f&r switch, no reverse
Sorry for omitting important details. The cart is not the model I was told when I bought it 5 years ago. It is a 36 volt system, model TXT. The switch is for years 77-85. Thnaks again.

Plus - the switch you bought is not for your cart.

Re: New f&r switch, no reverse
The first switch I bought was the wrong switch. Took it back and got the correct one. Switching it out twice I think is where I reversed a wire or two and caused the problem.

I am NO Electrician by any means, a mechanic by trade.....but why don't people use wire markers when they start taking connections lose and don't have clue how things go back together..... I'm just sayin', and its not a dig at you jcporter2, its just in general, we see this all the time. live and learn I guess.
