Battery voltage question
Hi, my question is , If I measure the battery voltage at the charger plug what should the voltage be? I'm reading 38v I know the battery is 50+. Is this because the - is going through the obc? Thanks jef

Yep, cant get accurate voltage readings at charge plug on 48v CCs, dut to OBC.

Re: Battery voltage question
That is also good news... If you get between 36-42v when you place the probes on the charger port + and -, that means the SCR in the OBC is working properly. If the SCR was bad, you would get 0v.

Re: Battery voltage question
Obc not turning on charger! Why? At what point will it turn on?
Next question what are the outputs of the Curtis controller? Dose it control + or - to the motor, and what terminals can I read the cart on jack stands? |

Re: Battery voltage question
@Jefd Try something for me if you get a chance. There seems to be a lot of questions about chargers nor turning on. I'm wondering if a quick check for a broken gray wire or fuse would be to try driving it with the charger plugged in, If it moves the sense wire is broken. If not the wire is OK. If you would try that it would a good troubleshooting piece of advice in the future.

Re: Battery voltage question
The cart won't move with charger plugged into it! I also did a continuity test from the fuse to wher it goes onto the computer!
