Default Club Car 1998 very slow acceleration

Hi,
I have a 1998 Club Car golf cart with very slow acceleration both forward and reverse. I have brand new batteries and a new solenoid. I don't have any experience with golf cart repair so I am looking for some advice on what the problem could be and how to fix. I have been reading around and see that it may be another solenoid that could be causing the issue. Once the cart gets moving everything seems to be ok. Any ideas or direction to take is appreciated!

Welcome to BGW!
What is the top speed of the cart on level ground?
Also, more information like the serial number, 48 or 36v would be helpful...

The cart is 48v and the speed seems normal I think 10-12 mph maybe once it gets going. This cart also has a lift kit with larger tires. Thanks for your help!

Larger tires will make for a slower acceleration from less torque reaching the outside diameter of the tires but you should have a higher top end. Use a GPS or feature on a cell phone and see if your top end is only 10-12. That is slow.

Ok...so what should a normal top end speed be? So do you not think I have a solenoid issue or anything else with the very slow acceleration? I would think even with larger tires that the starts would be better than they are now. Thanks a lot!!

It should be a little slower taking off than stock, but not drastically. Top end should be greater than the 10-12 MPH as that is stock top end. Sounds like possibly a bad battery or batteries. What is the pack voltage after a full charge and 12 hours rest? Voltage of each individual battery?

Well my batteries are brand new as well as the solenoid. Not sure what the voltage is yet. I would need to test that.
