Default Reversing Contactor SW202 click, no movement

I just totally rewired a series txt golf cart with a SW202 reversing contactor and Alltrax AXE controller. I followed the attached diagram and all I get are solenoid clicks (main and reverse) but no movement. I have looked it over twice but can't "see" the problem. Sometimes when you look at something too long you can't see the forest for the trees.

I have done reversing contactors before with no trouble at all but not the SW202. Any advice would be appreciated. Alltrax controller has steady green LED.

It's not my sale but take a look at my Carts Unlimited install diagram. Maybe it will help. It is a little more TXT specific

Scotty that's the one I usually use but it didn't work on this one. Solenoids clicked, no movement.

Only difference I see in the charts is where A2 and B+ connect. Not sure if it matters but..

I know this sounds obvious but check for voltage output from the controller before you spend more time on the contactor. Check from the controller and out of the contactor if the controller is ok.

I did buy a used 202 in like new condition. I guess it did not work so he sold it cheap. It must have been a Monday build because one of the springs inside was sideways and bent. After reassembly and straitining the spring it was all good.

Stupid question but did the cart run before the RC install?

Yes, it ran fine with the same parts. The wiring was absolutely terrible and a safety hazard so I removed all of it and install 100% new wiring on both control circuits and high current loop.

Found the problem. The reversing contactor didn't have continuity when deengerized on one pair of contacts. I opened them for cleaning but the coil was sticking while energizing it on the bench.

Luckily I had a spare single that came with the cart the previous owner was using to switch in the 12v accessory battery for the radio and lights. Talk about overkill.

Reinstalled and cart runs well plus the wiring is much improved.
