How exactly do I test that? Sorry I'm not really electrically inclined. The solenoid resistor is the wire connecting each post correct? |

Re: Cart running half speed?!
Also, check the voltage on J1 Pins 4 & 5. They ought to be FULL battery pack voltage.
The controller uses the voltage on those pins as a reference and if they are less than FULL pack voltage, false errors can occur. Hopefully, you put the Run/Tow in Tow when you switched out the batteries. If not, you may have taken out the controller. (IE: Cart ran fine after first two batteries were replaced, but started misbehaving after moire batteries were changed) |

Re: Cart running half speed?!
Also as I was saying I'm not super familiar with carts. I don't understand the terms J1 Pins. Not really sure what that means

Re: Cart running half speed?!
You might consider taking cart to a shop. Electric golf cart repair troubleshooting can be challenging. But you have come to the right place to get help. J1 is a connector on the controller and it has pins numbered 1,2,3,4, etc referenced on a electrical wiring diagram which someone will post hopefully.

The Run/Tow switch was flipped to Tow before disconnecting/reconnecting any electrical wiring, correct? If the cart had been sitting for a while before you got it, try unplugging all the molex plugs on the controller, squirt them with contact cleaner and plug back in while still damp. There is also an inline connector going to the pedal box that causes problems, clean it too. Check for worn insulation on the F1/F2 cable where they are routed around the battery tray. (see picture) |

Here is a schematic for a PDS cart with a drawing of controller identifying the various connectors that plug into it. |
