Anyone Use the MADJAX lightbar?
I am buying my first golf cart used, and going to make a Father/son Project of turning it into a mean green hunting machine. I've been studying stuff for about a year adn I saved up my pennies, and now it's time.
So I've been looking at off road light kits and see Madjax makes a 4 light 55w light bar that mounts to the top. Seems like a good idea. My Questions are: 1. How bad do they drain batteries? 2. How far will they project light? Open to suggestions for good long range off road lights on a budget. I'd like to be able to light up a hundred yards in front of me or more. going to put a couple work lights on the back to. You guys might get sick of my newbie questions before long. |

You might give Adrenaline Truck Performance a look. I'm running several of their lights as well as putting their 6" light bar on the front of my cart. Same build quality and components as Rigid.

Way to much money, get a cree led light bar, 12inch 72 watts for $90.00 on ebay. That's what I have and its like driving in the daylight. But I don't recommend driving on main roads at night. You will blind someone.

mymonstertruck, How far out front will that bar's light reach? The price is right for sure. going to add a smaller light to the back of the top for a worklight too.
Now to figure out a dash option with places for all the switches... :-) |

I would say 200-300 yards easy. And for the work light you shouldn't need any thing more than 25 watts for a Cree led light bar.

Re: Anyone Use the MADJAX lightbar?
Interesting thread...
I want to add lights to my 2008 Precedent. I've looked at various options and I like the look of the Madjax lightbar, however, would prefer LED over halogen. I wish Madjax had an LED option... I've also looked at TecScan's LiTESeasy wireless setup and am a little concerned about the brightness/output. Sounds like the Cree 12" lighbar is REALLY bright...AND...an affordable option. If...I went with the Cree (I'm an electrical dummy) it sounds like I would need a voltage reducer (48v, 4 x 12) and an on/off switch. What else would be required to add LED tail lights and brake lights...??? Thanks for putting up with my silly questions... |
