Default TXT Smokes Bad

Hey Guys,Any common issues such as valve-seals,valve-guides,rings,etc..It runs great,starts easy,just is a definite "Mosquito-Eliminator".I told Dad i'd see what i could find before he tears it down,in case it something quik and easy.Thanks.

Check your oil level first off.. If the level is fine, check your breather box to see if any oil in it. Oil in the breather box is most likely ring wear letting blowby push oil into the breather via the vent tube. I would check comp. and see what that shows. I am willing to bet it's a little low.

Oil level is fine,i'll have him check the other stuff.If i had it here i'd figure it out myself quick enough but hes' got it home and i'm relaying stuff,Didn't know if they had any common failures like the rings failing or a guide loosening up.Thanks though.

I would bet it is rings also. Mine did the same thing and I tore into it. I did have 1 leaking valve guide. Fixed that and still the rings.

Yes, rings are a common problem. Due to the ease of gov. adjustment to gain speed, ring failure and premature engine trouble is very common. I'm willin' to bet the rings are worn and the cyl. bore is slick as glass allowing oil by. Keep us updated.
