1995 club car bad obc?
95 club car 48v. New batteries and cables. Charger was kicking on and off and now wont do anything. Did the test by jumping from the fuse socket to the negative and the charger began to hum but nothing on the ammeter. Is the obc most likely bad? If so is there any way i can just bypass it and use the charger without it? Cheap cart to mess around the house with and not really wanting to put more money into it.

Re: 1995 club car bad obc?
I would first try a reset, probably won't fix anything, but worth a shot. Then I would bypass using the following information. If the charger works, it will charge like normal, but will never shut off, so make sure you keep an eye on it!
If the bypass works, you can either replace OBC or get a DPI (later option is better IMO). Quote:

Re: 1995 club car bad obc?
I did an OBC reset, no dice. Then I tried to follow the instructions, "connect negative on battery 6 to the receptacle side of the grey wire on the charging receptacle", no dice. I read instructions elsewhere that said simply connect the negative on battery 6 to the black wire on the receptacle. That worked and my cart is charging. Posting in case anyone else runs into this issue.

Re: 1995 club car bad obc?
dot, best to start your own thread and the details of your own cart and issue. That way we can help you with specifics. Generally, if it is a plain Series OBC, it is just the Black 10g wire and the grey sense wire from the back of the charge receptacle ran to the Main Pack Negative post. This is normally on the drivers side with the one cable that runs to the back of the cart. If it is something else, we have to go further.
