G-9 belt information
If you are running a torque spring with a machined rear sheave and the belt is not at the very top of the rear sheave you need a new belt for maximum torque. A new belt should be 1/8" above the very top of the rear sheave. Maximum torque is realized when the belt is at that height. A worn belt will slip when wet and most likely not bite the sheaves as welldue to the reduced width causing slippage under load. Anew belt should measure 1 3/16".
Hope that helps someone. |
