1986 EZGO Marathon

Hi: I purchased a old ezgo 3 wheel electric cart, put in all new batteries and cables, it ran great, then it started to Arch, next thing we new is the resistor board was smoking, cables pretty much melted, fused to terminals. In the process of all the smoking, we removed all the cables, even to batteries, After all cooled we removed the resistor board and found that it was cracked, so we replaced with brand new board, downloaded wiring chart and re-wired. Now nothing, no forward or reverse, batteries show full charge, I don't know what to try next??? Help!!

double check all your work and triple check wiring.......if all is good try jumping the large post on solenoid......jack rear end up get at least one wheel off ground............if cart runs when you jump solenoid replace it........its possible you took out the solenoid..........................

How do you jump start?

get a peice of 6 gage cable and jump the large post on solenoid............end of cable on one stud other end to other stud....cart in gear rear jacked up and key on.........when you touch both these studs you,ll get a little sparkage and watch your wheels if they start spinning as you press pedal than replace solenoid....................................
