Default snowmobile engine swap

Hello everyone

I have a 93 club car and wanted to install a 340 snowmobile engine. I was wondering about the belt drive set up. the snowmobile drives on the left and the cart drives on the right. this may be an easy fix and I am just overthinking it.

Thanks

My understanding is that with the cc's you'll need to drive forward in "reverse" gear and vice versa to solve this problem. Exhaust clearance may be an issue

Put both clutches on the same side. The driven clutch won't work with sled clutch, too small, exaust is a problem,no room.

97 was first year for the clockwise rotation. Yours would be normal gear selection. If you could turn the engine around and face it backwards I think it would work. Exhaust is going to screw you I think.

So your saying if you get a pre 1997 sled motor you don't have to turn it around backwards?

No I'msaying if you have a pre 97 cart your gear selection will be normal and not backwards like turbosundance was saying above.

I can post some pics of my cart set up if that will help you. I'm running a Arctic cat 440 motor.
