Default Shorter belt

How loose should the belt be when the cart is off. I put a shorter belt on a while back and it seems a little loose. I don't get it. Anybody have a pic of what the belt should look like?

Pics of the 00 workhorse. Stock drive clutch. CPP machined driven clutch (notice machining forces belt up out of the clutch). Newer stock belt.....hope this helps.

Thanks scottyyb, that does help. That is what mine looks like, I just can't figure out why I am having the problem that I am... On a little incline in dirt cart won't go, it acts like the belt is spinning without turning the cart. If I get off and give it gas and a little push it will go. Either I need to lose some weight or get more power. Maybe both.

NO. that is the stock belt. Notice the belt is pushed up out of the pulley from the machining that TOM at CPP did for me.
The shorter belt is OEM #22337-G1. It is 1" shorter or 41" by 1 3/16ths wide, commonly known as the 2 stroke belt for 1989-91

The machining and the shorter belt together is too much. THe belt is too tight and shifting becomes very hard.......
