rings

Is the piston bore on the old 2 cycle 2pg / 3pg the same size ?
reason for asking I got my 3pg bolted back togrther today after 2 pistons and 4 sets of rings , I tried to do it right but the hammer was too close , and now find myself with a set of rings left over and an old cart w/2pg engine that needs rings .

I do believe the rings (bore) are the same size. unless one (piston or rings) are oversized
