Default I need more power from a new cart

So, I've read most everything I can find on this site and others about getting the most from your engine. My problem is a bit different in that I bought a new '09 ST 2+2 with the new 13 hp gas engine. Everything I have found as far as adjusting the governor etc. relates to the older Robin engines - mine looks nothing like these and it's obvious that there is some untapped power on this thing. I'm not trying to take flight or anything, I just need to be able to get to 20-25 mph and I seem to be around 15-18.

So, does anyone have a suggestion for tweaking the new 13 hp?

I haven't seen anything on those YET! The mechanic at your EZ-GO dealer might know where the governor adj. is. Changing the govner may end your warrenty if it's covered. They may, or may not, have gears for this?? Very doubtful there are many aftermarket parts, yet. Taller Tires??
More RPM or gears. It is a new model!...ANYONE KNOW???

It is my understanding that there is no governor adjustment on those, only a cable adjustment to increesse the throttle opening that makes them go faster. I'm not a 100% sure about that though because I have never done it.

You are correct! After making a few tweaks to the throttle cable I got it to an acceptable speed.

Thanks
