Default Finding a black canopy

I don't think I have seen a black canopy on a G16 stock. Did they make them? Can they be purchased somewhere?

I am planning on wrapping the cart, then getting black seat covers, last would be a black canopy.

A universal extended top can often be modified to work.

I am working on a project Yamaha G22 and I painted the body a nice metallic pewter silver. Re-did the seats with black with gray stripe from Up to Par. I sprayed the top with Raptor truck bed liner. I used the standard black and really like the look. Also pretty indestructible stuff so you wont scratch it up easily. I have used raptor on a bunch of different things and frequently use the tintable kind and color match it to the project. I have a couple other project carts that will get the top sprayed with color matched truck bed liner.

I used Krylon for plastic to paint my top black. Looks good but does chip and scratch. Then I just touch up. The key is to clean the top like there is no tomorrow before you paint.

Here are some pictures of the top I did with Raptor liner. I used the standard black because I wanted black for this cart. I have used a bunch of the tintable stuff and the color options are virtually unlimited. You can match any color you want. It took me 2 bottles of the stuff. 1 for the top side and one for the bottom.

Just put it on a couple weeks ago. Just finished (almost anyway) putting cart back together. Just a few finishing touches then I am going to list it. Hopefully sell it and start on my next project. I got three former maintenance carts in a package deal from an apartment complex. Two Yamaha's and an EZ GO. Thinking I will sell the Yamahas and keep the EZ. That is my thought anyway.

That does look nice. What kind of prep did you do before applying?

Just cleaned it real well then used scuff pads on it. The more prep in the way of scuffing up the surface the better result you will get. Don't really have to worry about sanding scratches since this stuff will cover it. Raptor makes a primer but it is really for covering metal that has some rust/corrosion. I did not use any primer here. As in all paint work, the key to a good finish is in the prep work. Nothing fancy here just some elbow grease to make sure it is clean and scuffed.

Looks Good! Did you use the spray or roll-on?
