Just grinds wont moove
g16 foward or reverse will just grind will not move. it makes the same noise as if u did not quite put it in gear far enough. but will not move at all. any ideas on where to start. taking this rear end apart scares me a little bit.

Re: Just grinds wont moove
Are the cables working the shifter lever on the rear end?

Re: Just grinds wont moove
like the cables seem to be moving back and forth no problem but it might be getting bound on like a little sand or something. I put this thing through quite a few of the elements lol. it gets very wet and probably very muddy and sandy. I will try lubing it tomorrow and also I was going to take the cover off and poke around inside and make sure it has good clean oil and the gears are not chipped or anything like that. but i will certainly try to oil the levers and cables first! thanks a lot I will let you know what I find!

Re: Just grinds wont moove
Those rears are pretty good about staying together,
before you pull it apart, make sure your driven (back clutch) is actually turning the input shaft going into the rear. If it is, remove both shifting cables from the rear and manually shift the arm on the rear back and forth to insure it is engaging fully and try it. also with the cables loose, move the shift lever (under your leg) and see if it and the cables move freely from F to R. |

Re: Just grinds wont moove
So how did you make out with the shifting on the rear end of your golf cart? Is it still grinding?
