I'd like to see a picture with that pistol grip. I'm whittling me one now out of T 6061 to go on my Jake's shifter. |

Re: Jakes sport shifter
I was born and raised GM, but, my competition orange 69 Road Runner 383/4/4 sort of changed that! (well... there was my 1970 340 Duster too! Man... that was a long time ago!) I've always liked the Cuda's pistol grip, and when my buddy told me he had one similar to it, I couldn't pass it up! It'll be at least a month before I can get a pic of it, but I'll post it when I can! I may need a reminder though! |

[QUOTE=lockman1;682513]
Since my last post, I took off my All Sports shifter, sold it to a fellow BGW member, and put on a Jake's shifter! (for reasons I'd prefer not to get into!) LOCKMAN, i am getting ready to buy one myself, and compared the two, noticed jakes was a tad cheaper, do they both have the same mechanics as to the way they work? quality and craftmanship are impotant to me as well. takes your advice and shadow's advice seriously |

Re: Jakes sport shifter
Hey PCC!
In my over all honest opinion, The Jake's shifter has less "mechanics" to go wrong! (not near as many bolts, linkages, and misc. to loosen up) It's easier to install, shifts smoother, and the quality is right up there with the best of them! The only cons I have with the Jake's shifter is... it shifts SOOOOO smooth, that when your moving even just a little bit, you'll grind gears! and when shifting to reverse, the stick pulls up to the seat and I have to hold the shifter back! (it's a minor adjustment that I still haven't gotten to yet!) otherwise, IMO, the Jake's shifter is "hands down" the better shifter! Note to self: get a pic of the pistol grip next weekend! |

Re: Jakes sport shifter
Yep... it's plastic, and no... it's not a true Mopar pistol grip... But, I like it!
