Re: Kawasaki engine
Give carts parts plus a call. I think they have new engines for about that price.

Re: Kawasaki engine
They said all they offer is the big block kit, don't really want to go with that.

Re: Kawasaki engine
You should look into this.http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=400676173649
The ad says its an FE290, but I'm not sure on the rotation. You'll have to ask. Cant beat the price, half as much as everyone else wants. |

Re: Kawasaki engine
Before I dropped in another motor unless you just want to, I would see what failed first. You may be able to put $100 in it and fix what died. Just sayin

Re: Kawasaki engine
Talked with them and they said the fe400 engine is better than the 350 that I have and it will bolt in. Does anyone know if this is a good engine? Will my carb, clutches etc work with it? Will I have the same speed?

Re: Kawasaki engine
Hell yeah, $1450 shipped. I've been wanting to try on of those forever but I went 440 clone instead. If you want an easy swap then the fe 400 is the way to go.

Re: Kawasaki engine
The reman is only 645. Should I go with reman or brand new. I don't mind putting a reman in if it will last

Re: Kawasaki engine
That's up to you. But if I was gonna get a reman, it would be by someone local who will guarantee it. Not some ebay guy.

Re: Kawasaki engine
I thought the 400 just had a bigger bore then the 350. Everything should match up. Carb may need a bigger jet too. If it would be me id get the reman 400. They can weld a block, but being a casted alluimiunm block, I doubht they will... itll look like crap, hard to hide.
