Upgrade Suspension
Hello! I have an EZGO Express, and it's a great cart. Near my house, we have some pretty rocky terrain. With a loaded down cart...it gets pretty bumpy, and I'm sure it's not good for the cart.
I'm looking to maybe upgrade the suspension. I don't want to add a lift, it's high enough...but I am wondering what options I have to enhance the ride over bumpy terrain. New Shocks? Upgrade the leaf springs? Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Re: Upgrade Suspension
The EZGO suspension design is pretty basic but functional. With solid axles front and back it isn't going to be very compliant for uneven surfaces except at slower speeds. Maintain a slightly lower air pressure than for street driving and go slow. You can change the front suspension to an independent a-arm type but that is an extensive modification requiring more lift.
At the risk of sounding a little sarcastic, it is a golf cart, not a Humvee. Yours is a lifted, big all terrain tires golf cart. Rocky terrain is not its forte. |
