Thanks DS I took it apart and reset the spring, works good as new! Would there be any advantages setting it in #4?
I noticed about 1/16" groove worn into the sliders already. Is that normal for it? They dont need grease or anything?

Not sure where yer talkin' about with the grooves. Isn't there a grease zerk on tour driven? Should be on the moveable sheave. You can move the spring around for different shift profiles. I'm sure there's a letter/# system to it, maybe Dave knows that one. I have made new holes in mine to make it tighter.

Oh I mean the slides on the helix have grooves from the inner sheave sliding on it. I was curious if that happens this soon on a new one? My old helix was completely worn out and the plastic slides were gone. Didn't know if that could have damaged the sheave before I replaced the helix?

It may have. Do you have any close up pics of it?

Here's the best pic I have right now. It shows some of the inner sheave.

It's hard to tell what kind of condition the ramps are on the sheave itself from that picture.

That helix is worn you can see it and the edges are rough, pull it and file, sand, emory it smooth. Round the edges a bit.
