![]() Hey all, I have an 87 ezgo and it’s my first cart so im new to this. I am wondering if anyone knows the part number for a drive belt that is an inch shorter so I can increase my power for pulling up a hill, or if there is any other way that I could get more power. The speed is fine it runs great just lacking when it comes to hills. Thanks Josh

![]() sorry it took so long to write back. i got the other belt in and it was too wide it looked like, it kept wanting to jump of the drive pulley on the rear end. i had to take it off and put my old belt on so i could ride it. any suggestions?

![]() Just to clarify, the clutch that you are referring to is the one connected to the engine? One cause may be that the shorter belt puts a greater strain on the engine mounts and if they are worn then the engine will move allowing the belt to ride too high. I suggest that you put the axle on stands and start the engine to see if it moves.

![]() Dave, From what I read it sounds like the new belt is jumping off the driven clutch attached to the rear end. Could this be caused by worn motor mounts?
