93 with problems
I have a 93 ez go, twin - 4 stroke, it was put away all winter and it was very hard to start the first time this year, we cranked and cranked, finally got it to go and it runs good BUT now I have an electrical problem. Probably caused from over cranking. The battery is good, but it barely turned the engine, lots of smoke between the rear end and the enginge, it smells like plastic burning. if I let it sit it will turn over and start, but when I shut it down it won't turn over again. something is shorting out, any ideas? I don't see any electrical stuff by the rear end, not sure why the smoke would be comming from this area.

Re: 93 with problems
Bone head mistake,
Only hooked up one ground wire to the battery when I put the battery back in. The smoke must of been comming from the disconected ground wire touching the plastic fan shroud. DUH! |
