Default compression??

So what should my compression be?? I've got scary low numbers compared to what i'm used to. ( 55-75). gues it might be rebuild time whatdo yall think?

Two of four stroke, those numbers are bad... If it's a four stroke, I'd do a valve check and then check comp. again.

It is a 4stroke. what are the valve gaps auposed to be?? Also what am i looking to spend for a rebuild job and what does that include?

The intake valves on those are notorious for wearing up into the head. I adjusted mine with .006" of clearance and my compression went from 90 in each cylinder to 180. Both of my intake rocker arms were holding the valves open and not letting them completely close.

.004 is the recommended value. I set them by feel and its usually around .006

Squirt some oil through the spark plug hole and test again. If the compression improves it is the rings/cylinder. If it doesn't improve it is the valves.

Well checked the valve clearance and it was a little off....... still the best i got was 75:(
so what am i looking at as far as a ring job or do i need to do the whole shabang? can i get away with a hone and new rings???
