Newbie Needs Help
I have a 1989 g1 yamaha golf cart that i just got 2 days ago this is my first golf cart i have never owned one before. It hat sat inside a storage building and had not been run in 3 years. I traded a pistol fot it that i had around 500.00 in and the cart appears to be in good condition. I put fresh gas in and cleaned and blew out all the fuel lines. The cart will start and runs well feels very responsive and tourqy at low speeds and accellerates well the thing is it doesnt seem to hame much top speed i checked it with a gps and it tops out at 14 mph is this good or should it be more?
Thanks Mike |

Re: Newbie Needs Help
Good deal Mike, now start looking for threads on what year and model it is. Then start looking about threads that have to do with governer adjustment for more speed.
Just to give you a hint, tighten the 10mm nut on the gov. arm, on top of the transmission. We wanna see a picture of your vett and your cart! |

Re: Newbie Needs Help
Make sure the oil injection is working, or pre-mix if you're not sure.

Re: Newbie Needs Help
I havent tested the oil injection system yet i have driven it approximately 5 or 6 miles tho and it has kept on ticking i would imagine if the injection systems wasnt working i would have found out by now? would that effect the top speed of the cart?
Thanks Mike |
