2000 Club Car Gas No spark!
Cart is driving me crazy! Would run for several holes, quit, no spark. Then would run again after 15 or 20 minutes. Has a new battery, new micro switches in black box, new coil, new sparkplug, rebuilt starter generator, no wires are broke,
voltage regulator tests 15.03, cart will only start with a charger set on 200 amps. When you try to restart with no battery charger it turns over fine but has no spark! Thanks for any help. |

Re: 2000 Club Car Gas No spark!
Dumb idea here but I remember old mowers having magnets in the flywheel. Any chance these are the same set up and there is a layer of rust built up under there causing weak spark. The 200 amps gets her going and once running all's good, but too dirty to create enough spark on it's own for initial POP!

Thanks for the reply Dale,
I cleaned the magnet with some sand paper when I replaced the coil. I also cut the brown wire on the rev limiter, didn't help. |

Re: 2000 Club Car Gas No spark!
slick, i would wonder if you got a bad coil. soundsl like it getting warm and shutting down. just down understand it with the battery charger though. one ther thing to look at is the soloiniod in the black box. its a constant on from the battery, not like the standard starter soloiniod on a ford. if its heating up, it will cut your power off, if you notice the pos cable goes from battery to it. hell you replaced all other parts, what another 20 bucks and 20 more miutes with 4 nuts and 2 screws?
