Default DS FE290 carb

I have a 1997 DS with a FE290. Rebuilt carb, replaced all fuel lines and carb gaskets. Engine boggs and idle does not change when pilot screw is turned all the way in?

pilot screw? only one adjustable screw unless you ripped the antitamper thingy off(not hard) then you have 2. illhave to look in the book to tell you.

from the engine book.

Pilot Screw Adjustment
• Slowly turn the pilot screw in the clockwise direction until a slight
resistance is felt.
• Then, back out the pilot screw two turns counterclockwise (for
tentative setting).
• Install the air cleaner in the normal manner and warm up the engine
by operating it without a load.
• Set the speed adjustment lever to the low-speed (idling) position.
• Keep the throttle lever on the carburetor pushed gently to the fully
closed position, and turn the idle adjustment screw so that the engine
attains the idle speed.
• Keep the throttle lever pushed to the fully closed position, and turn
the pilot screw in and out to find the position in which the idle speed
of the engine is at the highest rpm. From that position, back out the
pilot screw one-quarter of a turn in the counterclockwise direction.
This completes the pilot screw adjustment

hey mike number 3 will be a anti tamper screw meaning it has a cap or mild adjuster on it so you can move it say 45degrees with out pulling it off.
Number 2 is the idle screw. And all others are fixed jets(non adjustable)
