Default Need more speed for 2001 series

3.2 hp motor too slow. Changing to a 5.5 hp motor, 400 AMP controller (presently has 225 AMP) & 4 ga wires. Do I need to change the F & R switch and solenoid?? If so what do I need?

My experience limited to my one cart :)

I have an 2002 CC series DS. I have a high speed motor model 6-223A. I dropped in a 500 amp Alltrax controller and 4 ga wires and it has been running great for two years. I made no other changes per the recommendation of D&D motors, they suggested I try and monitor. There were certain older stock solenoids that DID need to be upgraded but mine did not. I do not have details handy, but if you interested let me know or check out the D&D site....

I think you will be fine (caveat reader), but whenever I make a change I monitor for heat, etc. and in this case there were no issues at all
