Default Light Kit-Switch

Hey Guys,

I bought a Club Car light kit for my Precedent. It came with a push/pull-on/off switch for the front and back lights.

I was planning on using this switch,

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=412560_0_0_

to turn the lights on and off.

The push/pull that came with the kit only has 2 wires connected with it. The switch that I plan on using has 3 spots for connection (+,-, and ground)

Will I be able to use the switch I bought and if so, how?

Sure you can use it ... Remember one thing .. That all grounds have to go back to the negative post of the battery ... Never ground to the cart frame .

Pin #1 goes to the ground (-)
Pin #2 goes to the lights
Pin #3 goes to the 12 volt power source (+)

But the original switch is connected to the harness and attached to all the wiring to the harness of the cart. The original on/off switch only has two wires connects to it. Do u know if they are +,-, or ground?

The switch you got with your lights has no lumination with it (small light on switch) that's why it does not have the third spade connection for a ground ... You still bring power in to the switch from the power source (12+) on 1 spade and send the power to the lighs on the other spade . Run all the grounds to the (12-) post.

SMS,

Thanks for the help. So the top pin will go to the ground (-), middle will go to lights and the bottom connects to the hot (+).

So, I will need to get a volt meter and see which of the 2 wires on the original push/pull switch is the hot wire.
