I believe that is for all states that they are allowed and registered. More then likely, a liability issue for the golf cart manufacture as they were only designed to be used on a golf course.

Not according to the FL Statute I quoted.

Which is what jps said in the first place...

You aren't, by any chance, a lawyer, are you?

Nope, but if you read what I said, it's not a street legal GOLF CART. It's a LSV. There are no street legal golf carts per the FL Statutes. Again, a GC and LSV have LEGAL definitions that are different.

If your DMV is familiar with the process, probably a simple thing. If not, and you tell them you want to drive a golf cart on the street, you may have a battle on your hands. However, if you tell them you need the necessary paperwork to take care of legally converting your GC to a LSV...

I've had to battle with the legal issues before. Better to have the law quoted chapter and verse ahead of time.

"YOU" may not find this useful, others might.

My local DMV in SC made me have proof of insurance. Added it to my homeowners policy. Not a bad idea anyway for $100.00 per year.
