Power Drive 3 Charger Problem
My Club Car Power Drive 3 charger is on the fritz.... When I plug the cart in the charger kicks on and the needle has a seizure! It lasts for about 10 seconds and trips the charger breaker.......
I found this on Ebay and it describes my problem. What are the chances that diode/rectifier and circuit breaker solve my issue? http://www.ebay.com/itm/251120035358...84.m1497.l2649 George |

that would be my guess but you know you can test diodes to make certain as only one needs to fail .................its a simple test all you need is digital volt meter and yes i would replace the breaker with it as they seem to get weak and will start tripping just to be a pain..........................................

That will fix your problem. I see it every day. Make sure you've got the rectifier shown in the picture. Later model PD3 chargers have two heatsink strips instead of the square rectifier.
