![]() I am new to golf carts I bought a 1986 Clubcar with no batteries I purchased new ones all 6. Can't get it to run right now it takes off in high big jerk any help would be appreciated.

![]() I got that diagram from the top of this section. There is another. Note that each one of the 4 solenoids controls a speed or gear if you will. So if you have only high gear?...

AND http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...6solenofh6.jpg These are the wiring diagrams for your cart. Taking off in high gear tells me 2 things. One is the solenoid on the driver's side without a cooling wire (from here on called a resistor coil) works. It is the master to supply power to the big terminals for the others. And the solenoid farthest to the passenger side (High or 4th gear) also works....everything in between is not working. I shouldn't say everything. The solenoids and speed selection in between is not working. As you can see on the diagram there is a micro-switch for each solenoid. There are a # of reasons a solenoid does not appear to work, the micro switch has no power, the micro switch is defective, the solenoid has no power, the solenoid has no power......Does that make sense? You need a voltmeter and patience to fix this cart...print the diagrams. |
