Default Voltage Reducer v. Aux Battery

I have a 2006 CC Precedent 48V. Currently the lights just run off of the main batteries. I want to install a radio and some LED lights (maybe some other accessories). Should I install a 48/12 reducer or go with a seperate aux battery? I like the idea of using a scooter battery for the aux batter which I have read about, as that would fit in the dash behind the console that I purchased but I have no idea what the pros and cons of either are. I am electronically illiterate so any ideas are welcomed (pics would would be great). Thanks.

. . . the choice is really a personal one . . . I run a reducer because I don't want to be bothered with another charger . . . others run an aux battery . . . if you choose to go the reducer route, just make sure you get one with sufficient amperage for what you are planning . . . most people select a 20Amp as minimum . . . many go the 30 Amp route for ability to add several accessories . . .

I run a aux battery in mine , was able to find a spot under the seat. I don't want to have worry about draining my main pack while I listen to music . my lights may die but my cart will get me home lol
