1983 Marathon Clutch
1983 EZGO Marathon golf cart
the drive clutch on the engine broke in half. the bell that moves in and out is no longer attached to the rest of the clutch the 3 pins inside it that hold it onto the clutch shaft all snapped and the threads are gone. the engine was rebuilt and the belt was replaced and it ran for a month before this happened. |

Re: 1983 Marathon Clutch
I would get a new drive clutch as you will not be able to use that one again.
You spend around $200+ but worth it. Just did miy 91 ezgo as mine had actual holes warn in the unit where belt runs and super thin. Probably when the fresh engine took hold of that warn out clutch it took it out. |

Re: 1983 Marathon Clutch
I can take a picture next time I work on it but besides being broke its pretty worn out. looks like once the plastic bushings inside wore out it started eating the metal away

Re: 1983 Marathon Clutch
I think I have a clutch for you. It's a Comet Duster 94c for ezgo two strokes. Let me see if I can find the specs....
