![]() Assisting my 80+ father in law. Cart was working fine when we topped off battery water. Then rinsed off the top of batteries then parked it back in garage. Next day went to back it out. All seemed normal. Turned key on, hit reverse switch, it started beeping, pressed pedal and beeping stopped and cart did not move. 1. Assumed weak battery and put on charger. 2. next day after charger auto shut off tried again with same results, nothing worked no beeping. 3. checked batteries all have about 6.3v with 37v at solenoid. 4. tried diagnostic procedure listed on control box cover ie. with run switch in run and key off switch neutral to reverse 5 times with no effect 5. disconnected and manually engaged solenoid with success. 6. havn't found diagrams for this cart 7. I saw a trouble shooting guide but don't if its good for this cart. Appreciate any suggestions

![]() Hi Joe, here is the wiring diagram you were/are looking for.
pds36v.jpg oh and btw..... Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy. ![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

![]() Joe, I had the diagram, but I'm a Series guy, but I bet one of the better qualified guys in the PDS/DCS carts will chime in. but is sounds like you have an issue with the solenoid activation circuit.

Check and see if you are getting voltage at the solenoid after you turn the key on, if you don't then I would look towards the reed switch. I know ezgo dropped them but I am not sure the year they did this. It is located in the charger port. |

![]() I'm not sure when FZGO stopped using the Reed Switch either, but they replaced it with a fuse and the wiring is still the same.
There are three wires coming out of the back of the charge receptacle. Check for B+ (Battery pack voltage) at the in-line connector on the smaller of the three wires. To get the solenoid to click, you nave to have B+ on all the wires highlighted in Red on attached schematic. Also, you can download the Owner, Service and Parts manuals from the post in the Stickies. They are the three PDF files near the top. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html |

![]() Thanks so much for the tips. I will start on it in the morning now with a starting point and the redlined diagram. I'll post what I find. By the way, is the reed switch just to break the control circuit while charger is plugged in to keep you from driving of while plugged in?

![]() Success, thanks JohnnieB for the highlighted diagram and instructions. That little red wire was corroded in two between the connector near battery and the ten wire connector, Now it beeps, clicks, and goes.
Thanks to All, Joe & PawPaw Community works :-) |
